For Ages 12 and Up
The new Teen Book Club will be meeting on the last Tuesday of the month at 4 PM starting in September! Each month teens are asked to read a book based on a theme - in celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month, teens are asked to read a book written by a contemporary Hispanic author for the September meeting - we'll have a casual chat about books read and do a craft!

Library Time is a new interactive Storytime focused on adult learners with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and a support person starting in September. Join us on the Third Tuesday of the month for some stories, activities, and fun!
Sensory Considerations: Background noise, music, singing and movement may be included in this event and attendees are encouraged to participate in whichever way they feel comfortable.

Come learn about the theatrical design process for SUNY Plattsburgh Department of Theatre's Fall production of Bunnicula. Erika Guay will explain and display all the steps for the scenic and costume design of this Theatre for Young Audiences performance. The good news is you can join us to see the final result November 15th and 16th at 2:00pm at the Hartman Theatre.
Our series aims to bring local topic experts to the library to share their knowledge with the general community--everyone is welcome! A Q&A/discussion will follow each presentation.
Erika Guay is a professor in the Department of Theatre at SUNY Plattsburgh and is the resident scenic and costume designer for the department. She is in her 15th year at the department with over 40 productions on campus and many others with Pendragon Theatre, The Depot Theatre, and Lake Placid Ballet Ensemble. She also enjoys farming, maple sugaring, and winter sports.
