Shaundra Bartlett Lerman

Shaundra Bartlett Lerman

Type: Author/Illustrator

About: "Shaundra Bartlett Lerman felt the calling to illustrate from a very early age- two, to be exact. She spent her early childhood days sitting at a tiny table creating works of art and then dictating stories to her parents to record alongside them on the paper. It wasn’t until she moved into a home in the quiet country with her husband and cats that the idea for Bartlettberry Briar began to seriously take shape. Two white birch trees on the front lawn greet her every morning through the window, and at night in a full moon they stand calmly in the light. These two birch trees were the original inspiration for the briar, followed by a particularly large squirrel who stops by when the weather is agreeable. Shaundra hold degrees in Public Communications from The College of Saint Rose and in Graphic Design from The Sage College of Albany. In order to create Peaches and her friends, she became a self-taught painter. Shaundra wrote ‘Peaches Bakes A Pie’ for those of who love animals, for those at any age who take joy in getting lost in an illustrated tale, and for those who believe in instilling timeless values to children." - from https://www.amazon.com/Peaches-Bakes-Shaundra-Bartlett-Lerman/dp/1614683522
